My Purpose

 I am an intermediary between one realm and another, between the unseen forces of spirit and the earthly world of  form. I translate the energy of spirit into creative form and offer this as a gift of transformation for others.

As well as creating customized soul vision artwork, I feel fulfilled supporting people in opening to their natural creativity through spontaneous intuitive visual art classes. In my practice as a personal growth facilitator in North Vancouver, B.C., I use art therapy techniques and draw on my varied training in other methods, always relying on inner direction regarding the unique needs of each client.

Creative Inspiration

I discovered spontaneous intuitive art about 1990 in a Toronto personal growth workshop when the facilitator asked us to draw an image of our perception of God. I was thrilled with how easily my abstract rendition flowed through me. I continued to draw and paint spontaneously and received words through inspiration regarding the meaning of the artwork.

Another thrilling experience was when I realized I could also open to the creative muse with clay. One of my sculpting teachers said of my first mask, “the clay gave itself to you.” I felt as if the mask was telling me what it wanted and I was just the instrument through which it came into form.

Trust and Surrender

The Grace of deepening inner peace has come through decades of trials and purification. Years of spiritual practice have also contributed to my ability to trust and surrender to a higher power. This is essential in order to create an intention to receive for another person, and to be present in each moment to receive inspiration. Whether painting or sculpting, inner direction sometimes comes in words, or a feeling of how to move my hands and what colors to use. When immersed in the creative flow, I follow spontaneous impulses.

 Channel of Light

I grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada and lived in Toronto in the 1990s. There I was known as Channel of Light and co-facilitated the 8-month Soul Initiative Program, focused on mind/body/spirit wellness. I also offered meditation and personal growth groups, creativity for self-awareness, transpersonal therapy, energy attunement, and I shared inspired messages of personal guidance and universal truths. Trials lead to manifesting higher purpose.

In 1999 I moved to Vancouver, B.C., Canada. In the previous 10 years I had experienced several personal crises including injury, illness, and death of loved ones. My greatest trial came seven weeks after I moved when the man for whom I had uprooted my life was killed in an accident. My personal healing from this tragedy necessitated giving up the work I had found so fulfilling. My trust in a higher purpose and creating visual art sustained me in my darkest hours. Learning new methods like linocut printmaking and sculpting, in an art studio supporting mental health, brought me a feeling of joy, an emotion I had doubted I would feel again. At that time I was not aware that part of my higher purpose would manifest through my artwork.  My personal experience of the healing power of art gave me confidence in the service I am now offering, teaching others intuitive art and creating soul visions. Supporting the evolution of others with these mystical healing tools is the next step in my evolution.
